A strong earthy, deep-rooted loving red to represent the parents, and a fresh, soft new-born green to represent the young children (the subtle sage green of Kamloops hills). The red leaves of the logo are the parents: a couple, a mother (pregnant as shown by the 'bump' on the leaf) and a single parent. The children are between them and together the entire Kamloops “family' is centred/grounded by one focal point—family living and unity. As a team they present an exuberant yet simple flower... which speaks to a harmonious life and what true beauty really is all about—our relationships with eachother. The logo also evokes a sense of movement... the action and activity of a family in motion, “doing' things together.

The Tea House on Seymour

Rhia at the tea houseToday is the day. The long awaited, highly anticipated visit to the Tea House on Seymour. It was everything we hoped it would be. Check out my review.

And there are pics in the album in the facebook group. If you are not already a member request an invite and start sharing your photos with us!!

It was absolutely wonderful and we will be sure to visit again(though not with toddlers or babies) strictly a mother daughter outing. I even found myself feeling girly!

The Tea House on Seymour

If you have ever walked or driven down Seymour in downtown Kamloops you have probably come across a small little building with a tall wrought iron fence and a wrap around porch which encloses a beautiful garden and perhaps while peering through the gates you’ve wondered what ‘The Tea House’ was all about.

The Tea House (roughly 4th & Seymour) is only open from 11am-4pm Tues-Sat sRhia at the tea houseo if you would like to enjoy your tea indoors it is best to make reservations. Seating on the patio is generally avaliable for drop ins.

You are greeted by a cute waitress in an old hat who gives you a tiny menu containing a wonderful list of teas, lunches and desserts. There is a range of ‘Tea Services’ avaliable from $8-$22 depending on your preference. In addition to tea service they serve normal menu items such as sandwiches, soups, pastries and pies. All are quite affordable, healthy and sensible choices. The restaurant itself contains adorable decor perfectly suited to an old English Tea house and the surrounding gardens are perfect for an impromptu photography session.

All in all our little visit to The Tea House was very well recieved and I would recommend that anyone pay them a visit. They were very kind and accomodating to my 3 year old which was extremely nice.
