A strong earthy, deep-rooted loving red to represent the parents, and a fresh, soft new-born green to represent the young children (the subtle sage green of Kamloops hills). The red leaves of the logo are the parents: a couple, a mother (pregnant as shown by the 'bump' on the leaf) and a single parent. The children are between them and together the entire Kamloops “family' is centred/grounded by one focal point—family living and unity. As a team they present an exuberant yet simple flower... which speaks to a harmonious life and what true beauty really is all about—our relationships with eachother. The logo also evokes a sense of movement... the action and activity of a family in motion, “doing' things together.

What tells the tales of spring and the upcoming summer season better than neon posters taped to sign posts indicating that someone is getting rid of all their excess junk and they would love for you to buy some! OK! Where do I sign up? My change purse and I are ready.
I always come prepared for garage sales. Lots of change and ready to deal, haggle or otherwise talk someone into letting their junk go at a fair price so we all walk away happy. I love garage sales, talking with people, seeing the kids who have gathered all their most cherished belongings that are not quite so cherished anymore in hopes of making a few bucks. Kids always get full price ;)

Our Farmers Market is back and getting into full swing as the days get warmer and stuff gets growing!!!

The North Shore now has its very own Farmer\’s Market. Products to look for include farm eggs, organic coffee beans, hanging baskets and of course fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach and apples picked that very day.

The market runs every Friday afternoon starting May 16, 2008 from 3:30pm to 9:00pm on that portion of McDonald Avenue between King Street and Holway Street.
