A strong earthy, deep-rooted loving red to represent the parents, and a fresh, soft new-born green to represent the young children (the subtle sage green of Kamloops hills). The red leaves of the logo are the parents: a couple, a mother (pregnant as shown by the 'bump' on the leaf) and a single parent. The children are between them and together the entire Kamloops “family' is centred/grounded by one focal point—family living and unity. As a team they present an exuberant yet simple flower... which speaks to a harmonious life and what true beauty really is all about—our relationships with eachother. The logo also evokes a sense of movement... the action and activity of a family in motion, “doing' things together.

Themed Birthday Party Ideas

There are some key elements to every birthday party: invitations, decorations, games, cake, food and the loot bag. To create a truly themed event your best bet is to cover these areas with your theme idea. I am sure none of us needs any ideas as to what the theme for our child’s next party should be we need to look no further than their latest favorite thing.

Spring has sprung!

Wow I cannot say enough good things about the amazing weather we have enjoyed for the last month and a half. I have never seen a February so bright and cheerful! It is such a pleasure to get the kids out of the house and back on the playground. With Spring comes registration time. School, soccer, spring break, camp, you name it if you want your kid in it you best get off the pot! Seeds in the garden, yards to rake, dirt and winter debris to clear away – why do people like spring so much again? Seems there is so much to do! But it is nice none the less to be back outside minus the extra layer of clothing.

The kids are off school next week which means that many of your programs are going to be canceled so check with your instructors and check boards so you don’t show up to an empty classroom! And then to finish off Spring Break we have Easter Weekend! There is a giant Egg Hunt to be found at the Wildlife Park which we are going to go check out for sure. They are back to almost regular hours now which is also nice.

Time to dusk off the bicycles, strollers and beach bags to gear up for another fun filled spring/summer season in Kamloops. See you out there!
