A strong earthy, deep-rooted loving red to represent the parents, and a fresh, soft new-born green to represent the young children (the subtle sage green of Kamloops hills). The red leaves of the logo are the parents: a couple, a mother (pregnant as shown by the 'bump' on the leaf) and a single parent. The children are between them and together the entire Kamloops “family' is centred/grounded by one focal point—family living and unity. As a team they present an exuberant yet simple flower... which speaks to a harmonious life and what true beauty really is all about—our relationships with eachother. The logo also evokes a sense of movement... the action and activity of a family in motion, “doing' things together.

All year long my son, who loves trains, waits for two things: The Halloween Train and Wildlights. The Kamloops Wildlife park definitely puts on a show with over 400,000 lights which adorn 350 life-size wildlife sculptures, as well as the spectacular Giant Maze and Wildlife Express miniature train. This is a great place to get the family together on a crisp evening, or just go and watch the lights twinkle in your sweetheart’s eyes.

The Festival will run from December 12, 2008 to January 4, 2009, every day (except Christmas Day) from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

At the Sagebrush Theatre

You too could hear a Who! Mix together all of Dr. Seuss’ most-beloved characters (Horton, The Cat In The Hat, the Whos, the Grinch), a toe-tapping score and the good Doctor’s sense of fun, and you have a show that makes you want to sing along, even cheer out loud. Based on no less than 14 Dr. Seuss stories, Seussical™ is a wonderful trip down memory lane for grown-ups and a visit with friends for the kids. This is a journey of the imagination you will not soon forget.

“From the very first bars of the prologue I was absolutely hooked on this show. Not only does it encapsulate some of Dr. Seuss’ best characters, it also does what Seuss does best – wraps indelible life truths in colour and a sense of wonder. It’s a show that gives me hope because, as our hero JoJo says, ‘Anything’s possible’.” (Samantha MacDonald – WCT’s Associate Producer)
