A strong earthy, deep-rooted loving red to represent the parents, and a fresh, soft new-born green to represent the young children (the subtle sage green of Kamloops hills). The red leaves of the logo are the parents: a couple, a mother (pregnant as shown by the 'bump' on the leaf) and a single parent. The children are between them and together the entire Kamloops “family' is centred/grounded by one focal point—family living and unity. As a team they present an exuberant yet simple flower... which speaks to a harmonious life and what true beauty really is all about—our relationships with eachother. The logo also evokes a sense of movement... the action and activity of a family in motion, “doing' things together.

Kamloops, Canada’s Tournament Capital, is proud to host the 7th Annual Kids of Steel Triathlon
Triathlons consist of three sports (swimming, cycling, and running) completed one after another. In Kids of Steel events, kids complete different distances in each sport, depending on their age.

At the Kamloops Kids of Steel event, the emphasis is on FUN and participation. Every competitor is a winner and every young athlete who crosses the fi nish line receives an award, regardless of his or her placing or speed. Many volunteers are needed to run this great event. A minimum of one volunteer per family is expected! Email koskamloops@telus.net if you would like to help.

98.3 CIFM PRESENTS THE RELAY FOR LIFE ON JUNE 13

The Canadian Cancer Society invites you to their 12 hour relay in celebration of the survivors and a fund raiser in the fight against cancer. For more info or to volunteer call 374-9188. There’s an Early Bird registration until March 31st. You will be entered for a 5-star VIP tent at the relay in a prime location, complete with a cooler filled with refreshments, catered meals, VIP parking and suprises. Draw is April 2nd at the Aberdeen Mall kick-off party.
