It’s kinda my motto.
I can make a batch of cookies happen in less than 30minutes start to finish. So can you. And you should. Taking 30 minutes out of your week to make a few dozen cookies has the potential to be one of the most joyful and loving things you make a part of your life. Who doesn’t love homemade cookies? There is something about them that just says,’love’.
The ingredients to make my oatmeal cookies for a year are roughly $100. For a year. Good cookies, good for you cookies with organic ingredients like mixed oats, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, real butter and local fresh milled spelt flour. Beautiful flour. I love that farmer who provides me with flower. All the farmers, who feed me and my family and make less than minimum wage.We should buy our food from them. But anyways this post is about cookies.
We always have homemade cookies in our house. The older kids know how to make them themselves and love to be given the task. The little ones love to help out. I don’t know when the last time I bought a bag of cookies was. We make them because it’s fun, they’re tasty and then I know what I am feeding my kids. When I send my kids to school with two cookies in their lunch I know that is equivalent to most of the store bought granola bars. And then I can always answer when someone asks one of my favorite questions, ‘Can I have a cookie?’
Yes, yes you can.
