Kindergarten 2010

If you, like me, have a child that will be enrolling in Kindergarten for September 2010, you may want to learn more about some of the options and about what these brand-new changes will look like at the “schools of choice”.  These schools now include Lloyd George and South Sahali (as single-track French Immersion schools), as well as Beattie School of the Arts, Bert Edwards Science and Technology and Montessori at Aberdeen Elementary.

The information meeting about schools of choice is Monday, March 1st, 2010 at 6:30pm at the Henry Grube Education Centre (245 Kitchener Cres).

“School of Choice” Enrollment will be March 15th, 16th, and 17th (from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm) at those schools.

Regular stream Kindergarten enrollment will be March 22nd, 23rd, and 24th (9am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm) at the school closest to your neighbourhood.

To enroll your child in Kindergarten they must be five years of age by December 31, 2010.

You must bring your child’s birth certificate and Care Card with you when you enroll.
