Now, I don’t know much about golf but I do know how to have fun with my kids. Â A few weeks ago, I got together a big crew of friends and we stopped over at Miss Wende’s Adventure Golf for a round of mini golf before lunch. Â It was a windy day, but we were ready to brave the elements and enjoy our time together. Â We broke off into teams of four to challenge the course of 18 holes. Â Miss Wende gave us each our own coloured ball so that we could remember which was ours – whew! Â We staggered our starting points around the course, so that the whole group wasn’t waiting for my kids to golf before they could get a turn, and away we went.
Let me just throw it out there, again, that I’m totally not a golf pro, not by any stretch of the imagination… I can’t even pretend to golf. Â But, I sure did have a great time! Â It was hilarious to watch my son’s hockey stance and my daughter’s antics. I’m pretty sure that my four-year-old did better than I did. Â But, I’m okay with that.
Miss Wende’s Mini Golf was a great way to spend an hour and a bit.  Outside in the sunshine, enjoying laughter with friends and family… trying desperately to get the orange little ball into the hold by hitting it with the lumpy stick.  I would definitely recommend it as a great little outing with friends and family.  The course is very well kept.  It’s a quaint little place to be.  The pond in the middle, the bridge and the castle scenery made me feel like I was in a fairytale.  My daughter (the “princess”) loved that part, too!  The holes were challenging and entertaining, each with hand-painted signs and fun names like “The Dragonfly” and “Miss Wende’s Castle”.
I think that my 2 year-old daughter was too young to play. Â I’m pretty sure that other 2 year-olds could play and enjoy it, but it wasn’t quite within her ability to focus.
Maybe… if I had brought snacks?? Â Miss Wende’s Adventure Golf has a lovely little picnic spot to use for picnics and birthday parties. Â The view from the picnic table is very peaceful, as well.
In May, Miss Wende’s is open on Saturdays from 11am to 8pm and Sundays 11am to 5pm. Â You can check out her facebook page, here. Also, you can contact Miss Wende at 250-819-7622
