This past week the kids and I got to try our hands at stuffing some buddies from Trendz Kitz.  We totally had a good time making a wish for our buddies and then talking about what kind of buddy they would be, as we stuffed them with fluff!

Trendz Kitz is a Canadian company that is new to Kamloops.  It is a business that caters to birthday parties and other events by supplying “Build Your Buddy Kitz” that come with the 18″ buddy of your choice (they have 50 different animals to choose from!), as well as a wish to put into your buddy, an outfit for the buddy and all the stuffin’s.  Trendz Kitz also provides a certified party leader, if you want, or you can just order the kitz and try them on your own.  What fun!

When the kids and I pulled out our kitz, my daughter was smitten, right away, with the pretty outfit and the super-cute puppy that was in her kit. My son loved the costume helmet for his buddy and carefully inspected the contents of his kit to find the certificate that said it could “belong to” him!

I had imagined that there was going to be some sewing involved with getting the buddies sealed and didn’t think that the kids would be able to do it all, themselves.  However, I was thrilled to see that they close with a zip strap and my children had no trouble stuffing the buddies full and then zipping them shut!  Totally kid-friendly and do-able for my 2 year-old and 5 year-old, alike!

What a fun project to work on, together!  It made for a neat memory for my kids and I, and I think it would make for a terrific special event!  How cool to get to create your own special buddy!!  The kids and I love the costumes that came with them, too.

Since finishing our buddies “Louie” and “Lola”, they have been playmates for many different games in my house, as well as laying claim to a spot beside my kids, at night.
