“I started cloth diapering my 18-month-old son when he was 9 months.  I had done minimal research on cloth diapers and had mostly just talked to friends who also cloth diapered.  I found some diapers that worked for me but had no clue what I should be washing them with.  I was scared to try washing with our regular detergent for fear of ruining my diapers.  So I picked up some Tide Free thinking that no colouring and no scent would be the safest bet for my dipes – and my little guy’s bottom.

After awhile, my son’s diapers were starting to stink…particularly the ones with microfibre.  I was washing with Tide Free and then hanging to dry…I had no clue why they were stinking. It couldn’t possibly be because of my detergent.  Then I found (my new love) Rockin’ Green. I picked up a bag of RnG from a local retailer. There were so many yummy scents to choose from; it was hard to pick just one.  I decided on Lavender-Vanilla (now discontinued- so sad).

After one wash, the stink wash completely removed from my little dude’s diapers. So I decided to try it out on our stinky dishcloths. Yep, stink gone.  So then I started going through the house washing anything I could in RnG.  The yummy scents made doing laundry fun. I was a little disappointed that my laundry didn’t come out smelling like the detergent, but that would mean that residue was being left behind (not a good thing).  Instead, it just came out smelling clean. I’m converted!  Now I use RnG for all our laundry…not just our son’s dipes.  With scents like Smashing Watermelons, Rage Against the Raspberries and Lavender Mint Revival, you’ll be fighting with your spouse about who gets to do the laundry.”
