Game On Interactive Fitness

We’ve been there before, then we went there, again.  It, as always, was loads of fun.  The kids loved ripping around and trying out all the different equipment.  I got to try out a bunch of the stations, too!  My personal favourite was the game where I tried to make Jackie Chan run through New York City and jump over bricks and move from side to side… I’ve never felt so uncoordinated in my life!  It sure was fun, though, and a great way to work up a sweat!

As well as being open for play (or workout, depends what you call it, I guess) during the week, Game On Interactive Fitness also offers the option of hosting a super-fun and low-stress party for kids of any age (yes, you read that right; 30-something is not too old).  Since opening this year, they have hosted over 40 birthday parties!  The feedback has been terrific.  Using the facility for parties has been easy on the party planners and great fun for all the kids.  The space is so big with so many different activities that guests can spread out and try something on their own or with a buddy, or they can crowd around and cheer one another on – even challenging and playing tournament-style!

Game On Interactive Fitness offers a number of different party times from which you can choose (but you can also ask about other times).  During that two-hour time, the staff will spend the first hour guiding the party-goers and teaching them how to use the different equipment, then you and your party guests are free to use the party room and play on the different equipment for the last hour.  Game On provides plates, cups, cutlery and utensils.  Each party-goer gets a coupon for future visits to Game On and the birthday kid gets a Game On shirt, too!

The rates for parties are posted on the Game On Interactive Fitness site and with this post, Sheri is offering a discount of 10% off the full party package if you say that you read it on KamloopsParents.Com.

Sounds like lots of fun, to me.  I’ve got a big birthday coming up this year.  Writing this post has me thinking that I might just have my party at Game On Interactive Fitness!!

Don’t forget that there is a great family event happening on Saturday, August 14th!  David Williams, from TRU, will be leading a kid-focused tour of the Horticulture Gardens at TRU.  Bring some water and a hat and maybe a picnic lunch, as we meet at House 10 (by the CAC) at 10am to start our tour.  Please RSVP if you are planning on attending, just so that we can guess how many hand lenses we need to provide.  However, if Saturday morning rolls around and you are looking for something to do, you are welcome to just show up, as well!

Also, remember that you can enter the giveaway from East Side Mario’s once every day until this Thursday night!  Comment, now, or e-mail me to win!
