Tania McCartney tells us a little bit about her Hula Hoop from Hoops from The Loops, today!



“As a yoga teacher, I am a big advocate of moving, in all its forms, so when Rebecca asked me if I would like to take one of her hula hoops for a test drive, I was very excited. I hadn’t hula hooped in years, but after not riding a bike in 16 years, when I got back on one of those 4 years ago, I never looked back. Rebecca’s hula hoops not only get you moving, but they are so pretty!!

It is just something that you want to play with, no matter what age. My husband has been enjoying it a lot too. We do it when we are watching a TV show, or out in the back yard. It is neat to feel the muscles that need to be isolated to use it and cool to try to do it the opposite way, which feels more challenging. This evening my niece suggested I try it doing tree pose. One legged hula hooping is a new challenge that I am looking forward to mastering! I think the best thing about it is that it gets you out of your seat and sets a positive example for children. If children see their parents moving, it’s pretty likely they are going to want to do it too. Win, win!”
