Tails are irresistible to toddlers and preschoolers alike! This book presents a colorful collection of tails created just for those eager toddlers to tug, pat, and even scratch and sniff! Matthew Van Fleet’s book features furry tails, spiny tails, shiny tails, and tails that wag–and the book is durable! We’ve had this since my eldest was a baby (so going on 5 years now), and only one of the wagging tails looks a little “limp” after many tiny hands have taken a turn at it!
Although most appealing to the younger babies, I find that even my almost-5 year old still enjoys flipping through it.  The final two pages appeal mostly to the older child, as the book encourages the child to flip back through the book and find “1 skunk, 2 tigers, 3 foxes etc…” With the diversity of animals represented in this book, I found this was an excellent tool to help teach kids the names of so many creatures.
This author also wrote several similarly themed books, titled:  MOO, CAT, DOG, Heads, and Alphabet.
