It’s no secret – I LOVE snowshoeing with my family. It’s fairly inexpensive to get into, doesn’t require changing gear every year as the kids grow and it’s a great activity to get them outdoors and appreciate the world around them.
Did you get a pair of snowshoes for Christmas and still wondering what to do with them? How to begin, how to find others that also enjoy getting outdoors and strapping on a pair of snowshoes for a trek in the woods? Well, you might want to consider registering for the Dirty Feet Snowshoe Fun Run/Walk happening on February 2nd, 2014 at Stake Lake.
This fun event is now in its 4th year and is open to everyone, regardless of age or ability. The idea is to get out there and just do it, no matter how fast you do it.
Registration for the 5 km (or 10 km!) snowshoe run/walk is $30. If you are sitting on the fence, act quickly as the price will increase to $35 after January 27th, 2014!
All participants will receive a reusable bag, a Probar energy bar, a magazine as well as discount coupons from one of the sponsors. There will also be a table at the finish line loaded with great snacks and refreshments.
That’s not all; The Dirty Feet Trail Series is renowned for having the best (and most abundant!) prize tables. So be sure to stick around for that!
