From 1:00 to 3:00 pm on April 23rd, drop into Family Art Saturdays, a free family event that includes tours and activities in our galleries as well as innovative art workshops in our studios.
In the Central Galleries, get inspired by the diverse selection of art work in Hugh Hanson Davidson: A Life in the Arts. This exhibition of approximately 100 works by 87 artists represents a collector’s
biography, showing how the collection was formed, highlighting the dealers Davidson patronized and how his collecting activity became an expression of his support of artists and their work.
In The Cube, experience larger-than-life experimental drawings made by local artist Laura Hargrave in her exhibition, Memory Lines. Through her art practice, Hargrave explores the loss of memory that comes with age and reflects on its effects on friends and relatives. Figures in the drawings appear to wander the gallery as if lost or searching for something, both floating and grounding themselves across the walls of the gallery.
In our studios, try your hand at experimental drawing—draw blindfolded, behind your back and with a long stick!
No registration required, free for all ages.
As always, you and your ideas are wonderfully welcomed. If you are interested in getting involved with KamloopsParents.com simply email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can chat!
