Art Changes Lives: 2017 Crossing Bridges Outreach Exhibition

The Crossing Bridges Outreach Exhibition celebrates the healing power of art and the community that has created it. This exhibition truly affirms that “Art Changes Lives.”

The Kamloops Arts Council’s Crossing Bridges Arts Outreach provides interactive visual arts workshops to children, youth and adults facing challenges. Since 2013, our artists have delivered workshops to various social service agencies, including the Kamloops Brain Injury Association, New Life Community, the Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism, Canadian Mental Health Association Clubhouse, Family Tree, the YWCA Women’s Shelter, Phoenix Centre and more. Crossing Bridges helps participants express realities, fears, hopes and dreams, providing them with the chance to connect with others, build self-esteem and share their voice with the community. This exhibition strives to unite all members of the community and celebrate health and wellness through art.

Admission to this exhibition is free and artwork will be available for sale.
