The Kamloops Arts Council’s 3rd annual Art in the Dark fundraiser returns Saturday, Nov. 18, this year at Art Knapp.
The 19+ event will feature a DJ and dance floor as well as activities such as black light bodypainting by Kelly Wright, live painting by Amie Stoltz, clay with Amanda Eccleston, and much more.
Shuttle service between the event location and downtown, and the event and Cascades Casino, will be available.
“This is a great evening out — a little different than traditional fundraisers,” says Kathy Sinclair, executive director of the Kamloops Arts Council. “And you don’t need to be an artist to take part — come dance the night away!”
Art in the Dark runs 7 pm to midnight at Art Knapp (420 Nunavut Way).
Tickets are $50 ($40 for students and KAC members) at www.kamloopsarts.ca or in person at the KAC office (Old Courthouse, 7 Seymour Street West). The price includes 1 (one) drink ticket, a full night of dancing, and participation in all activities. Bring cash for cocktails, wine and beer, a silent auction, and food from Cheffrey911 and Waffle Laundry.
All proceeds support the Kamloops Arts Council’s ongoing community programming, including the Children’s Arts Festival and the Crossing Bridges Arts Outreach.
