Founded in 1968, the Kamloops Arts Council is a registered charitable organization that supports and develops local artists and arts groups in all disciplines. From its earliest beginnings with the long-running Art in the Park, to today’s programs that include Art Exposed Regional Exhibition, the Crossing Bridges Arts Outreach and the Rivertown Players Summer Theatre Troupe, the KAC takes the arts out to the community – producing high-quality, year-round low- and no-cost arts programs, performances, workshops and events for all. The arts are for everyone, and they have the power to heal, transform, connect, and develop skills in children, youth, adults and seniors, including those in crisis. Art changes lives.
