Join the Sun Rivers Trio for a Concert of Splendid Chamber Music

The Kamloops Symphony’s next concert is the Sun Rivers Trio performing as part of our Chamber Music Series. The concert features Mozart’s Trio in E-flat Major, also known as the Kegelstatt Trio, one of the earliest chamber works to include the relatively newly invented clarinet. The program then moves from the 18th century into the 20th century, with wonderfully varied works for clarinet, violin and piano. Tournament Capital to be Transformed on BC Family Day!

On Family Day, the City of Kamloops will transform the unnamedTournament Capital Centre (TCC) into a festival for families with children of all ages! The 5th Annual Family Day Festival will take place on Monday, February 13 (a statutory holiday in BC), from 10 am – 2 pm, and the event is free. We will also host a free swim at the TCC from 1 pm – 4 pm.

Dandelion Gala Helps Wishes Come True

Kamloops Child Development Centre (KCDC) will host its 2nd IMG_2184Annual Dandelion Gala on Saturday, March 11 at 6:30 at The Dunes. The event will benefit the nonprofit early childhood-education centre with funds going to support the creation of our nature-based Forest Playground. This includes assistive technologies that will provide the children at the Centre with a greater quality of independence.

Kamloops Power Choir moves to Thursdays

All welcome to join drop-in, no-audition choir, 7pm at Lansdowne Village

Beginning Feb. 2, the Kamloops Power Choir is moving its rehearsal time to Thursday evenings. All ages and levels are welcome — no auditions are necessary, no experience required.

Started in fall 2014, the Kamloops Power Choir covers well-known pop and rock songs. The choir does occasional performances and “flash mobs,” but its primary goal is just to get together and sing.
