A strong earthy, deep-rooted loving red to represent the parents, and a fresh, soft new-born green to represent the young children (the subtle sage green of Kamloops hills). The red leaves of the logo are the parents: a couple, a mother (pregnant as shown by the 'bump' on the leaf) and a single parent. The children are between them and together the entire Kamloops “family' is centred/grounded by one focal point—family living and unity. As a team they present an exuberant yet simple flower... which speaks to a harmonious life and what true beauty really is all about—our relationships with eachother. The logo also evokes a sense of movement... the action and activity of a family in motion, “doing' things together.

Pick your own pumpkin for Halloween.  With over 7 acres of pumpkins to choose from, this is something the whole family can go out and do together.  Free tractor rides and trampoline jumps as well as bird encounters with farm chicken and homing pigeons.  The farm is open daily from 8am-9pm, 7 days a week.  Pumpkins vary in price (by size) but range between $5 and $25.

Pumpkin patch will be open from Oct. 1st to Oct. 31st.

Tractor ride will take place daily. We’d prefer to have at least groups of 10-15 ppl present for the ride to take place.

Before I go on, I must tell you about the Kids’ Stuff Swap that is happening on April 9th.  This Saturday, from 9am to 1pm, at Calvary Community Church (1205 Rogers Way) you will find an amazing thing… over 80 Kamloops Parents, coming together in one facility to sell their used children’s clothes and toys, as well as share their family-related businesses with you.  There will be loads of great deals to be had and lots of visiting and fun, too!

The swap started with five tables when my daughter was just a wee thing.  Now, three years later, this is the seventh one (they are held every six months) and the biggest one yet with over 80 tables!!

There will be a raffle, a concession, photography mini-sessions and great shopping!  This time, we are asking a $2 admission fee, which will be donated to support the families with little ones battling cancer, in our community.

Be sure to stop by and check it out!
