Then summer begins, and you can actually feel the excitement augment as you catch a glimpse of the set being built at Prince Charles Park.

As the opening night closes in, you may be lucky enough to catch a snippet of rehearsal while hanging out at the wading pool.

Finally, it’s opening night. You make sure you have your tickets, grab some popcorn and wait to enter the enclosure. The Continue reading Project X Fest: The Fantastic Mr Fox

Memory Foam Magic

I’m sure I’m not the only parent who has suffered with sleep issues since having children. Even years later, the habits and sleeping postures that I developed when the children were young continue to plague me. Whereas I once was able to sleep through anything, I now wake up to the dog snoring on the other side of the house or the cat sneezing in the basement. Extremely frustrating, considering that for the most part, my children have adopted good sleeping habits and are great sleepers.

So, for the past year or so, I have begun to troubleshoot the reasons why I don’t get a great night of sleep. Sure, there is the very rare night of great sleep where I wake up refreshed and feeling like a rockstar. Very rare. During this troubleshooting process, I began to wear ear plugs (perhaps I have just become a light sleeper with age?) an eye mask to really darken the room, removed ear plugs, used white noise, no-no that’s too much noise, and so on. I took hot water bottles to bed, drank sleeptytime tea, did yoga poses to encourage sleep. Some things helped, not sure which combination of items, but some did.

When I finally began to investigate my sleeping posture, things started to improve drastically. I used to use a combination of whatever pillows (that were clean!) that I could find around the house. This was a huge factor in very subtle neck pain that I would observe as I woke up to frequently change positions throughout the night. The pain was subtle enough to arouse me awake, but not to completely remember it. I went down to one pillow and then finally the pillow. The Primo Celebrity Pillow.celebrity pillow

With memory foam technology, this pillow cradles my head in such a way that it provides me with the support I need without the pain that I was experiencing before. It is so responsive that I can change position and it adopts the shape that my head needs. A better quality sleep and a much happier parent.

Tea Review and Recipes – Shuswap Infusions Tea Company

Our family loves tea. All kinds of tea. Black tea, white tea, green tea and all sorts of herbal teas.

Teas are used when an afternoon pick-up is needed, to soothe sore throats, to relieve congestion or to accompany downtime in the evenings.

Today I present a couple of ideas for use with tea that I brew from Shuswap Infusions Tea Company, a home-based loose leaf tea business near Shuswap Lake, BC.
