The Middle Island off the coast of Australia is home to hundreds of little penguins. Unfortunately, foxes have found the island and are drastically reducing the number of penguins. As the population shrinks, the Island stands to lose its penguin sanctuary status and is set to become a whale watching spot for tourists. In the hopes of saving their seaside town, Swampy, an eccentric chicken farmer, teams up with his granddaughter to train their mischievous dog, Oddball, to protect the penguins. Once the population stabilizes, the success is quickly dampened when Swampy cannot find Oddball on the Island.
“THE PENGUINS ARE CUTE, BUT THE BIG FLUFFY SHEEPDOG STEALS THE SHOW.”
“HIGH ON CHARM, SPIRIT, EXCITEMENT AND LIVE-ANIMAL MAGIC, STUART MCDONALD’S REAL-LIFE TALE IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR IN A WORLD OF GLOOPY, STERILE CGI MULCH.”
