Kit & the Kaboodles Present: Lights Out!
February 13, 2016 @ 11:00 am
Public Pay-What-You-Can Performances of Educational Puppet Show Lights Out!
February 13th, 2016 | 11:00 am and 2:00 pm
The Old Yacht Club | 1140 River Street, Kamloops
Kit & the Kaboodles will be having TWO public performances for Lights Out! before they hit the road with the show! These performances will both be pay-what-you-can matinees and open to the public.
The story follows the adventures of two school-aged children. These children are capital “B” Bored! There’s a power outage, their iPads and computers don’t work, and they have no idea what to do. Then, a very magical thing happens: they start to play. They take themselves on an incredible journey that turns ordinary household items into extraordinary puppet creatures. Kit Kat, a quirky cat character, guides the story and encourages the audience to get involved by creating soundscapes, environments, and providing volunteers to help save the day. Sometimes funny, sometimes touching, always magical, this great adventure shows the protagonists just how easy it can be to have creative fun when you’re unplugged.
Jodi is originally from Montréal, Quebec but spent a few years in Northern New Brunswick after graduating from University. She moved to Kamloops in the Spring of 2010 with her family and works as an educational assistant. Her 7 and 8 year old keep her really busy as they love exploring the area and enjoying what Kamloops has to offer!
