Western Canada Theatre Presents: Liberation Days
January 26, 2015 @ 7:30 pm
INSPIRING DRAMA – After suffering under German occupation in WWII, the Netherlands has been liberated by Canadian forces. But liberation doesn’t always seem like freedom. In this beautiful new play, a Dutch woman and a Canadian soldier create a new world together, as a community discovers what remains of their old lives, and what’s been lost forever.
“Powerful, sweet, poignant and often surprisingly funny” – Calgary Herald
“A certified crowd pleaser” – Calgary Sun
This is a beautiful new Canadian play – a touching WWII love story between a Canadian soldier and a Dutch villager. The first time I read it, I couldn’t put it down – it’s such a great story. We’re partnering with Theatre Calgary to produce the world premiere. It’s going to be a gorgeous show, and it’s going to make your heart soar! – DARYL
