One of my favourite things about camping is the food.  I love planning our meals.  I don’t really like packing it up, but it’s fun to figure out what we are going to eat (yet, I can’t seem to stick to my menu plan for the week, what’s up with that?) and planning fun and different things.  There’s always so much junk food and snacks and treats (is that just me?  I hope not).  Then, there are s’mores (and banana boats, but that’s another post).

Chip ‘n Chicken Lollipops – Kidz in the Kitchen

Chip Chicken Lollipops
(with chips & lollipops in the same sentence… kids were hooked right away! )


  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves – cut into cubes

  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups crushed potato chips (I used multigrain tortilla chips… mainly because that is all I had in the pantry…and I didn’t measure but that’s just me…. you could use your favourite flavour or do a variety of flavours if you have chip lovers in  your house)

Paper Wallet For Dad

This activity is brought to you by Dawnica Flatt.  Dawnica is a Kamloops mom, Stampin Up demonstrator, Early Childhood Educator and new business owner with Snug-Glee Bumz Diaper Service (coming soon!).

This is a neat project to make with the kids.  It can then be used to present a gift of money, as a gift card holder or the gift itself!  I found it online and remember making similar wallets when I was younger.  Your older child can follow the instructions or you can create the wallet and have your toddler decorate it especially for Daddy!
