The Freudian Slips

The Freudian Slips will be returning for another year of laughter-filled nights of improv! Presented by Chimera Theatre, the improvised comedy troupe will feature a mix of familiar faces and new members this season and they can’t wait for you to meet them. Returning to the troupe from last season is Andrew G. Cooper as Host, Brendan Law, and Taylor James McCallum, and Paul Rancourt. Rejoining the group from previous seasons are Allandra Gardner and Dan Ondang, and Kennedy Crane and Jamie Mason are making their debuts!

The Freudian Slips perform monthly shows at the Stage House Theatre, 422, Tranquille Road. Here is a full list of this season’s show:

March 24th, 2018 – 80s Tight ‘n’ Bright

April 21st, 2018 – Sheer Luck, an Improv Mystery

May 26th, 2018 – Star Wars vs. Star Trek

June 16th, 2018 – Harry Potter Improv!

July 21st, 2018 – Beach Blanket Bingo Party

August 18th, 2018 – Strip ‘n’ Sip

Doors for the open at 7:30 pm on performance nights and shows begin at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $15 in advance through Chimera Theatre’s online box office at www.chimeratheatre.com/tickets. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $20. Because of the improvised nature of the show, parental discretion is advised and we recommend sixteen years of age or older.

Jodi is originally from Montréal, Quebec but spent a few years in Northern New Brunswick after graduating from University. She moved to Kamloops in the Spring of 2010 with her family and works as an educational assistant. Her 7 and 8 year old keep her really busy as they love exploring the area and enjoying what Kamloops has to offer!

Chimera Theatre is Bringing Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein back to Life!

Chimera Theatre Presents: Perseus & Andromeda

Perseus & Andromeda by Euripides, adapted and created by Andrew G. Cooper and Melissa Thomas, runs at the 30th Annual Victoria Fringe Festival. There will be two pay-what-you-can
previews before the show tours to the province’s capital. Performance are at the Actors Workshop Theatre (900 McGill Road, inside the Old Main Building) at 7:00 pm on August
12th and 13th, 2016.

Tickets will be available at the door as cash only donations.

Chimera Theatre’s last touring production, The Untold Tales of the Brothers Grimm by Andrew G. Cooper, was nominated for Best New Play and Best Comedy at the 2015 Victoria Fringe Festival
where the show was called “delightfully silly” (Anne McGladdery, The Marble) and “refreshing” (Adrian Chamberlain, The Times Colonist).
