Join the Sun Rivers Trio for a Concert of Splendid Chamber Music

The Kamloops Symphony’s next concert is the Sun Rivers Trio performing as part of our Chamber Music Series. The concert features Mozart’s Trio in E-flat Major, also known as the Kegelstatt Trio, one of the earliest chamber works to include the relatively newly invented clarinet. The program then moves from the 18th century into the 20th century, with wonderfully varied works for clarinet, violin and piano. 40th Anniversary Ball

This October, join us for a very special celebration of 40 years of symphonic music in Kamloops, as we reflect on our history and embrace our future. Experience the joy of ballroom dancing with music performed by your own Kamloops Symphony, enjoy a fabulous dinner prepared with local ingredients, and party into the night with a live dance band.

Jodi is originally from Montréal, Quebec and spent a few years in Northern New Brunswick. She moved to Kamloops in the Spring of 2010 with her family and works as an educational assistant. Her 6 and 8 year old keep her really busy as they love exploring the area and enjoying what Kamloops has to offer!

Deadline for new Peter Collins Memorial Fund Bursary Aug. 31

Students with a passion for music are encouraged to apply for the Photo 19 (2)new Peter Collins Memorial Fund Bursary by the end of this month. The bursary, in memory of Peter Collins, a beloved music teacher and tenor singer, was created to assist students residing in the Kamloops/Thompson School District #73 area to access music lessons through the Kamloops Symphony Music School.
