“Choose Your Own Path” Chalk Game

Activities using chalk have been a favorite of ours for a number of years. The kids get to chalk on the back deck, the patio, the driveway and even the bare concrete floor in the basement during the winter months.

What’s Happening This Weekend in Kamloops?

August long weekend is coming up and we have a few suggestions for you!

Canada’s Alpine Blossom Festival at Sun Peaks Resort

With a warmer spring and hot early summer temperatures, the alpine wildflowers have been in full bloom since early July. While the blossoms have reached their peak early this season, there will still be plenty of wildflowers to see during the festival.

Take a scenic ride on the Sunburst Chairlift to access 16 designated hiking trails. The wildflower meadows on Tod Mountain can be reached by a leisurely stroll to more challenging hikes. You can even pack a lunch and head out to Tod Lake. CLICK HERE for information on hiking trails, flora, and more.

During the festival on the BC Day long weekend, July 31 – August 2, the village will host entertainment including live musicfacepainting, a kids zone, outdoor evening movie, and more!

Join the Reach the Peak – Tod Mountain Summit Hike where local guides, including Sun Peaks’ own Olympian Nancy Greene, will lead you to the very top of the mountain.
