Boys grade 5, 6, 7 & 8 – we want your voice!

The Kamloops YMCA-YWCA is presenting its 1st annual Strength IN Being a Boy Conference April 26, 2017 and we are looking for boys to be involved with the planning of the Conference. The 6 week session begins October 27th where the boys will be doing a host of activities that focus on a variety of issues that impact their lives.  The Strength IN Being a Boy is a conference for boys, planned by boys; they will decide what workshops they want, what to have for lunch, and all the activities that they would like to do to make this the best day ever!

Play Ball Hockey with the Blazers & Storm & Find out about Outdoor Ice in Kamloops

Date: Saturday, October 22 ice

Time: 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Location: Riverside Park (beside the concession area), Kamloops

The Kamloops Outdoor Skating and Hockey Association invites kids and adults to join members of the Blazers and Storm for some ball hockey.  The event will happen beside the concession asphalt plaza area in Riverside Park.  Have some fun and find out more about how Kamloops could get some outdoor refrigerated ice.

Luminocity is a FREE week-long public art project organized by the Kamloops Art Gallery featuring video projection, new media works and events in public spaces throughout downtown Kamloops. This off-site initiative is a forum for independent media arts regionally, nationally and internationally. Enlivening public spaces in unexpected ways, Luminocity embraces new creative concepts and modes of expression in the media arts field and encourages diverse audience engagement outside the Gallery’s regular programming. It includes over 25 artists and multiple sites with weekend performances by bands and DJs.
