Chimera Theatre and The Freudian Slips are pleased to announce  a new director, a new troupe, and an all-new season of improvised comedy taking place in Kamloops! The Freudian Slips is the hottest improvised comedy troupe in the desert city and will continue to bring monthly improv shows to Kamloops this spring and summer.

With the departure of the founding co-directors, the troupe is welcoming longtime member Paul Rancourt into the role of Director of The Freudian Slips. Paul joined The Freudian Slips last spring after moving to Kamloops from Alberta and has been inspiring giggles and hilarity in Kamloops audiences for almost a year with the troupe. His first move as a the new director was to hold open auditions and cast a new gang of improvisers.

After its hugely successful season of bringing entertaining evenings of improvised shows to Kamloops, The Freudian Slips will be
returning for another year of laughter-filled nights of improv! Presented by Chimera Theatre, the improvised comedy troupe will feature a mix of familiar faces and new members this season and they can’t wait for you to meet them. Returning to the troupe from last season is Andrew G. Cooper as Host, Brendan Law, and Taylor James McCallum, and Paul Rancourt. Rejoining the group from previous seasons are Allandra Gardner and Dan Ondang, and Kennedy Crane and Jamie Mason are making their debuts!

The Freudian Slips perform monthly shows at the Stage House Theatre, 422, Tranquille Road. Here is a full list of this season’s show:

March 24th, 2018 – 80s Tight ‘n’ Bright

April 21st, 2018 – Sheer Luck, an Improv Mystery

May 26th, 2018 – Star Wars vs. Star Trek

June 16th, 2018 – Harry Potter Improv!

July 21st, 2018 – Beach Blanket Bingo Party

August 18th, 2018 – Strip ‘n’ Sip

Doors for the open at 7:30 pm on performance nights and shows begin at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $15 in advance through Chimera Theatre’s online box office at Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $20. Because of the improvised nature of the show, parental discretion is advised and we recommend sixteen years of age or older.
