Today on KamloopsParents, we are sharing a post originally published on the Kamloops Music Collective. Read on about how a long time Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music student ended up as assistant faculty:
One of our favorite things here at the Kamloops Music Collective is hearing the stories of youth that we have been able to affect through our programs. Whether this is by helping them find the instrument they connect with, friends they can’t imagine life without, or a future they never imagined. These stories are truly the reason that we continue to not only strengthen our existing programs, but constantly strive to create more.
The story we are sharing today, is that of a long time Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music student, turned assistant faculty. This is Colin O’fees Story.
“From 2007 to 2014 I attended KISSM as a student, participating in string ensembles, bands, Jazz bands, and drumline. My experience as a student was fantastic! Over the years I made many lifelong friends, greatly improve my musicianship, and most importantly, had a whole lot of fun.
