This July 1st, celebrate Canada Day in Kamloops with the FIRST annual Canada Day Run at the beautiful McArthur Island Park. This brand-new running event is focused on families, friends and kids! With a 2km, 5km and 10km distance, everyone is encouraged to come out and participate! All families are encouraged to start their Canada Day celebrations with this fantastic morning run among friends, before continuing the festivities at Art in the Park (Riverside Park) and finally fireworks to complete the day.
This family-friendly race will consist of a fun, flat route and Canada Day themed water stations will be located approximately every 3 km. After the race, fresh food and beverages will be provided for all participants.

Get Canadian is a foot race. For safety and liability reasons, all events are limited to registered runners and walkers only. Bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, and running with dogs are prohibited on the course due to safety concerns. All strollers start at the back.
Please remember, that it will be Canada Day, so get in the spirit and wear your Canada Day Attire!

Jodi is originally from Montréal, Quebec but spent a few years in Northern New Brunswick after graduating from University. She moved to Kamloops in the Spring of 2010 with her family and works as an educational assistant.
