Kamloops Arts Council troupe teams up with Project X Theatre for fun, free children’s performances starting July 1

Kamloops, BC —  The Kamloops Arts Council’s Rivertown Players ~ in partnership with Project X ~ are back for another summer filled with laughter and fun. Beginning at Art in the Park on July 1st, the Rivertown Players will perform at parks and events all over Kamloops, providing free entertainment for children and the community. The team has been assembled, are hard at work, getting prepared for the busy summer ahead.  Due to significant funding cuts, the Players will only be performing through July, so be sure to get out early to see the show!  
The Rivertown Players are led this year by Producer/Director Dusan Magdolen  of Project X Theatre. Please welcome the talented new cast — all theatre students at Thompson Rivers University — that will bring the Rivertown Players to life:
  • Des Geddess – Actor/Stage Manager
  • Jane Harestad – Actor/Community Engagement Coordinator
  • Brendan Law – Actor/Director/Actor
Each actor is busy writing and preparing their own original play, which will be performed this summer. They are excited and eager to share their hard work with you!
