Padova: The Untold Story

Tranquille Tunnel Theatre is proud to present their 2018 production in partnership with Chimera Theatre: Padova: The Untold Story by Andrew G. Cooper and Dan Ondang.

Strange occurrences plague the newly purchased Padova City. People have gone missing and the police refuse to help. Descend into the tunnels with us to discover the truth behind Padova’s mysterious new owner.

We are happy to be working with a splendid mix of familiar and returning local artists on the production this year. Our cast features a host of faces that you will recognize from past shows, including Maddison Hartloff (seen last season in Perseus & Andromeda and The Witness), Morgan Benedict (last seen in The Witness), as well as Taylor James McCallum and Taran Waterous (both of whom were in last year’s mainstage show Frankenstein and have been seen in previous years of Knights of the Sun). CJ Renee and Kayla Alfred are both making their debut with Chimera Theatre and we couldn’t be more excited!

Helping to bring this haunting tale to life is a hugely talented team of artists behind the scenes. Following his direction of The Witness and Frankenstein last season, the show is directed by Andrew G. Cooper. Andrew also helped to write the show with Dan Ondang, who is writing for Chimera Theatre for the first time (but audiences of Kamloops will be familiar with Dan’s work from The Lyre Theatre Company). Joel Feenstra is joining the team as the Production Designer (and has designed for Knights of the Sun in the past). In addition, Kayla Alfred is our Head of Properties/Set Decoration, Maddi Hartloff is our Head of Wardrobe, Taran Waterous is our Head of Sound, and CJ Renee is our Head of Lighting. Morgan Benedict is returning as stage manager and we are pleased to welcome Dani Foisy as our Assistant Stage Manager and Grayson Norsworthy as our installation technician.

The World Premiere of Padova: The Untold Story by Andrew G. Cooper and Dan Ondang runs August 31st to November 3rd, 2018 at the Tranquille-On-The-Lake with shows Thursday to Saturday at 7:00, 8:15, and 9:30 pm.
