Explore many ways of making light; different types of light; properties of light; and RAINBOWS! Discover how the colour patterns of stars help astronomers learn.

Thursday April 25:    Spring Lecture Series on Dementia: Understanding Dementia

Free entry. Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Kamloops.

Doors open at 6:00pm, Lecture begins at 6:30pm. Presented by the Alzheimer Society of British Columbia, by Tara Hildebrand. This presentation continues with more information about Dementia and is in response to public demand after the success of our first introductory presentation this winter. Saturday April 27:    StarLab; Astronomy in the Round, shows run all day

Included with standard entry fee; members are free.

BIG Little Science Centre is excited to announce the 2019 visit of the Okanagan Science Centre’s StarLab, with star specialist Kevin Aschenmeier. You will be inside the StarLab planetarium, with projected stars to get a real feel of the night sky. This is a great chance to explore the skies above and to learn about stars, with legends about them. Please pre-register with a name and the number of people coming: 250-554-2572 or email: susan@blscs.org  If you require a chair, please mention when registering. Participants must be comfortable in a dark, closed space.
