16th Annual Children’s Arts Festival

The Kamloops Arts Council’s Children’s Arts Festival is set to return for its 16th year on Saturday, September 19 at Riverside Park.
The Children’s Arts Festival is a fun-filled, creative day of artistic, musical and theatrical activities and performances for children ages 2 to 12. The entire day is FREE for children and their families.
On the Interior Savings Mainstage, headliners will includeventriloquist Kellie Haines, interactive characters The Trollsons, and local favourites magician Clinton W. Gray and Uncle Chris the Clown. They will be joined by many more area performers, including the KAC Rivertown Players and the Kamloops Symphony Music School. Local artists and arts groups will host more than 30 interactive arts activities; all activities are offered at no charge.
For the first time this year, families will be granted free transit to and from the event, courtesy of the City of Kamloops. Transit vouchers valid for transport to the Sept. 19 festival will be delivered to all area elementary schools.

Jodi is originally from Montréal, Quebec but spent a few years in Northern New Brunswick after graduating from University. She moved to Kamloops in the Spring of 2010 with her family and works as an educational assistant. Her 7 and 8 year old keep her really busy as they love exploring the area and enjoying what Kamloops has to offer!
