Arai to teach Sunrise program at Kamloops Symphony Music School

Longtime Kamloops Symphony musician, Sally Arai will be teaching a
unnamed (1)Sunrise program class, as part of the Music for Young Children classes at the Kamloops Symphony Music School this year. The 10-week program—which begins Oct. 4—is for children ages 2 to 3 years old.

Deadline for new Peter Collins Memorial Fund Bursary Aug. 31

Students with a passion for music are encouraged to apply for the Photo 19 (2)new Peter Collins Memorial Fund Bursary by the end of this month. The bursary, in memory of Peter Collins, a beloved music teacher and tenor singer, was created to assist students residing in the Kamloops/Thompson School District #73 area to access music lessons through the Kamloops Symphony Music School.

September hits a high note—music school is back in session!

Kamloops Symphony Music School is back in session this
September with two new group classes being offered: group
voice and group Suzuki violin.

Danielle Faulkner is a recent addition to the music school’s D_Faulkner_KSO
faculty and will be instructing the group voice lessons.
Faulkner graduated from the University of British Columbia
with a Bachelor of Music in Opera Performance. She has
appeared as a soloist with the Vancouver Symphony,
Vancouver Opera Orchestra and the Northern Czech
Philharmonic Orchestra.
